I believe this movie was originally released in the US as The Gyver, but for some reason it is called Mutronics in Australia with absolutely no reference to the Gyver unless you read the really fine print. It is one of those dark films, probably an attempt to hide the poor acting, which is a pity because (some) of the suits you get to see look very nice. The movie is probably famous for having Mark Hamil (Yes, the "Luke, I am your Father" guy).
As for transforms, well, technically there are a pile of them, but true to form for small budget movies, they are mainly people disappearing behind things and the monster re-appearing on the other side.
